Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the United States is an actress comedian, activist, and actress. After emigrating to America her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her career began as an actor for children. She is best known for her appearances on AT&T commercials on television. In these commercials, Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and then 2020 (since 2020). Apart from commercial appearances, she was a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). She also played the role of a regular character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub was initially cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, was voiced in that role since. Vayntrub was Jewish, born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. At the age of 2 she left together with her parents to the U.S. to escape antisemitism. She was able to settle in West Hollywood. She began performing in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of five due in part to her family's financial problems. Vayntrub briefly studied at Beverly Hills High School. After her sophomore year, she dropped out and got a GED. She went on to get the Bachelor of Arts Communication from University of California San Diego. She was a part of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and learned improv comedy.
